Competing in this slam is about stepping onto the Memorial Bowl Amphitheater stage as your full self and representing your voice with intention and respect for the craft.

This is a 3 round judged slam following standard slam rules with 12 TOTAL PERFORMER SLOTS available.

Poets perform original work within time limits (3 minutes with 10 second grace period) and are scored on 1-10 rating scale.

First place will receive a $1,000 cash prize. That’s right, one thousand dollars.
